Maboroshi Vineyard Pinot Noir Reviews
Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Maboroshi Vineyard opens with fragrant notes of violets and lavender over a core of red currants, blackberries and red plums plus a waft of underbrush. Medium to full-bodied with loads of plum and earth notions supported by firm, chewy tannins and a nice burst of freshness, it finishes with lovely purity.
Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Maboroshi Vineyard has an earthy nose of fallen leaves and mossy bark over a core of red currants and raspberry leaves, plus a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied with a fine, firm texture of grainy tannins and lively acid to frame the youthful red berry and earth flavors, it finishes with great length and depth.
Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Both savory and fruity on the nose, exhibiting aromas of cherry, dried herbs, wet mulch and a hint of tobacco. Very charming in the mouth, with expansive flavors of black cherry, savory herbs and tobacco robed in modest tannins. A silky smooth texture attracts, and the wine has commendable harmony, finishing with cherry and citric flavors.
